Fernandes Gets 7.5, Onana With 5.5 | Manchester United Players Rated In Draw Vs Olympique Lyon

Manchester United faced off against Olympique Lyonnais at the Groupama Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal tie. The Red Devils made a slow start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the 25th minute when Thiago Almada found the back of the net. However, Leny Yoro equalised for Man United in the dying embers of the first half as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Joshua Zirkzee gave his team the lead in the 88th minute. However, Lyon equalised via Rayan Cherki’s effort in injury time. The match ended with Ruben Amorim’s men being held to a 2-2 draw away from home.

GK: Andre Onana – 5.5/10
Onana made a few important stops at the back but won’t be pleased about conceding twice tonight.
CB: Noussair Mazraoui – 6.5/10
He put his foot through the ball when needed and made one decent run from the back.
CB: Harry Maguire – 6.5/10
Maguire did his best to keep things tidy when defending inside his half.
CB: Leny Yoro – 7/10
He earned possession back once and did well to score in the first half injury-time.

RM: Diogo Dalot – 7/10
He worked hard defensively and made a few promising runs with the ball.
CM: Manuel Ugarte – 6.5/10
Ugarte caught the eye at times with his contributions at the centre of the park.
CM: Casemiro – 6/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but struggled to protect his backline.
LM: Patrick Dorgu – 7/10
Dorgu worked hard on the left flank but there was no goal for him.
RW: Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10
Garnacho had a few bright moments in the game but never looked like he had a goal in him.
ST: Rasmus Hojlund – 6.5/10
He made two good chances for others around him but failed to be a threat up top.
LW: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
Fernandes orchestrated a few inviting chances for his teammates to score and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
