FA WSL: Full fixture list announced | OneFootball

The FA have released the full fixture list for the 2020/21 FA Women’s Super League campaign.

The first two fixtures had already been announced with City kicking off the new season with a trip to Aston Villa on Saturday, before hosting Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday 13 September (2pm) at the Academy Stadium.

Following an international break, Gareth Taylor’s side will resume our 2019/20 FA Cup journey, travelling to Leicester City in the quarter-finals, although the date and time of this fixture are still to be confirmed.

Should we progress in the competition, the semi-finals will take place on either 30 September or 1 October, before the league season restarts with the visit of Tottenham Hotspur the following weekend (kick-off time TBC). The FA Cup Final will take place on 31 October at Wembley.

Having already locked horns with League Champions Chelsea in the FA Women’s Community Shield last Sunday, the pair will meet again in the WSL at Kingsmeadow on 10/11 October.

The first Manchester Derby of the season is set for 14/15 November at Leigh Sports Village, bookended by 2020/21 Champions League action (11/12 November and 18/19 November in the Round of 32).

City and United will also meet in the Continental Cup group stage again this year, although the fixture dates for the 2020/21 competition are yet to be confirmed.

December brings a festive cracker, as City entertain Arsenal on 12/13 December, with the reverse fixture taking place on 6/7 February 2021 – the week after the 2020/21 FA Cup campaign begins (31 January).

Our home league Derby against United will be a midweek affair on either 10/11/12 February, before the FA Cup fifth round (28 February) and Champions League last 16 take place (3/4 and 10/11 March), should we qualify.

The FA Cup and Champions League will continue through March and April at the quarter-final and semi-final stages, while City face an exciting league season run-in, facing Reading, Chelsea and Birmingham and completing the campaign with a trip to West Ham United on the final day.

If City reach the latter stages of the Champions League, our home games against Chelsea (24/25 April) and Birmingham (1/2 May) will be moved. The Final is scheduled for 16 May 2021 at the Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg – six days before the 2020/21 FA Cup Final (22 May).
