Former Lazio goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani believes that Inter have found a way of playing together effectively under coach Simone Inzaghi.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the 55-year-old praised the work done by Inzaghi with the squad and gave the view that the Nerazzurri are the best team in Serie A right now.

Inzaghi had no small task coming in to replace Antonio Conte during the summer, but the former Lazio manager has started to really put his stamp on the Nerazzurri.

The style of play has been confident and controlling, and the team seems to function as something more than the sum of its parts under the Italian coach.

Marchegiani feels that the rhythm that Inter have found makes them the team to beat in Serie A, and he credits Inzaghi for bringing them to this level as a group.

He suggested that the team has managed to get important contributions from many players, stating that “Inter are more of a team than other sides this season because, when one player is out of form, another hits his stride.”

“The overall team vision gives players confidence at the right time,” he went on. “There is chemistry at Inter. Inzaghi has great personal understanding, he manages to establish an excellent relationship with the players, who respond to this.”
