Five years after the death of Ennio Morricone, Roma wanted to honor the memory of the great composer with a special meeting at the Fulvio Bernardini sports center.
The protagonist of the event was his son Marco Morricone, who shared emotions and memories related to his father in an afternoon with a strong symbolic impact.
“Everyone knew the character, they loved him, they love him for his music, his infinite art, but the man was only mine. He was my father,” said Marco, visibly touched.
The visit included a tour of the club’s Historical Archive, where memorabilia, shirts and testimonies of the Giallorossi’s history are kept.
“It’s a beautiful technical center, from every point of view,” he added, speaking proudly of the deep love that the maestro had for Roma and the city. “There is an indelible trace of these colors in our DNA.”
“For Dad, Rome was all about Roma. He even said it in some public statement: “Whoever lives in Rome should support Roma”. For me, it represents a sort of continuity. I am in a place, here in Trigoria, that Dad loved and respected, even if the support makes you angry. It’s nice like this too, it’s part of the instinct that is in us”.
