According to Frankfurter Rundschau, Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin are both interested in Victor Boniface from Union Saint Gilloise in Belgium.

Frankfurt’s interest in the Nigerian is because Lucas Alario and possibly Rafael Santos Borré are set to leave in the summer. Alario has struggled for game time since his move from Bayer Leverkusen and has been unable to displace Randal Kolo Muani as striker, the Argentine has become unhappy with this and will likely move in the summer.

While Europa League final hero Borré is unhappy with his lack of playtime. After being Frankfurt’s main striker last season, Borré has also not been able to get past Kolo Muani, however recently the Colombian has benefitted from the injury to Jesper Lindstrøm. The 27-year-old can leave for €8-10m in the summer.

Boniface will likely be seen as a substitute while Kolo Muani is at the club, but with the Frenchman attracting suitors and Frankfurt willing to let him go for over €100m, he could potentially not be at the club for as long as people think.

Union Berlin are also interested in Boniface after he scored twice against them in the Europa League round of 16 ties between them and USG. The 22-year-old is currently contracted at USG until 2026 and is valued at €6m.
