Maurizio Sarri will reportedly leave it right until the last minute to decide if Eden Hazard is fit to player their EFL Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.
The west London side take on Bournemouth in the last eight with their Italian tactician looking for his first ever piece of silverware as a coach.
As such, Sarri is taking the competition extremely seriously and wants Hazard to start in the false nine position at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian limped off in their win over Brighton at the weekend and is rated as ‘touch and go’ to be fit for the match after rolling his ankle.
But the Telegraph understands that Sarri is desperate for the 27-year-old to play as they look to make it into the final four and on to Wembley.
