On Thursday, Borussia Dortmund announced the signing of SV Meppen striker Ted Tattermusch, effective at the beginning of next season.
The 19-year-old will join the Black and Yellow on a free transfer, signing on a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until summer 2024.
The player, managed by former Germany international and Dortmund midfielder Torsten Frings, will initially link up with the Dortmund U-23s.
Despite his potential, Tattermusch has only featured for a total of 74 3. Liga minutes this season, scoring a goal in nine career appearances at the level.
“It is by no means a given as an A-youth player that you get the chance to play in the third-division team.
“A big thank-you also goes to the Emsland Youth Academy, where they have always supported and encouraged him.
“At Dortmund, I want to take the next step and develop my game even further.”
SV Meppen is currently in 13th place (out of 20 teams) in the third division.
