DONE DEAL: Barcelona announce sale of Carles Alena to Getafe

Barcelona have announced the sale of Carles Alena to Getafe.

Barça confirmed the transfer, without disclosing the exact transfer fee. The club did reveal, however, that they will receive 50 per cent of any future sale and also have a buy-back clause and first refusal clause for the player.

While the club did not confirm the value of the transfer, this figure is believed to be around €5m.

Barça thanked the player for the effort, dedication and commitment that he has shown since he made his first team debut, and for all the years he spent playing for Barça B and developing his skills at La Masia.
