Barcelona starlet readying push for place on Asian tour during pre-season training | OneFootball

An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is readying an incoming push to secure for himself a place on the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Jan Virgili as the player in question.

The name of winger Virgili has emerged as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter across Spain over recent weeks.

This comes after the 18-year-old played a starring role for La Roja, en route to booking their spot in the finale of the U19 European Championships.

One individual who was already well aware of Virgili’s talents before this summer, though, is Hansi Flick.

As per a report from Sport:

‘Hansi Flick met with him at the end of the season to confirm that he would have the opportunity to do the pre-season with the seniors.’

Virgili’s intention, in turn, is to do everything in his power to impress Flick and his staff, to secure a seat on the flight to Asia for the club’s upcoming tour.
