Barcelona faced off against Villarreal at Estadio de la Cerámica earlier tonight as they looked to secure all three points on their travels in La Liga. The Catalan club kept things solid in the first half and went into the half-time break without a goal to show for their efforts.

Xavi’s men made a bright start to the second half and made the opening breakthrough in the 48th minute when Frenkie de Jong scored with a neat finish. However, the home team drew level in the 76th minute when Samuel Chukwueze found the back of the net. The Catalans giants refused to give up the three points as they netted two quick-fire goals via Memphis Depay’s tidy finish and a successful penalty from Philippe Coutinho. The match ended with Barca securing a much-needed 3-1 win away from home.
