Football is a business, it needs to make profits, a lot of said profits come from TV coverage pay-outs to clubs.
However, from a supporter standpoint, this has got to a hugely frustrating level with fans having to fork out numerous different subscriptions for various site and packages, which ends up costing an extortionate amount a month if you wish to watch all the Premier League games across all platforms.
Chelsea fans in particular have often voiced their views on this, and the latest news is good for them, and fans of football.
DAZN have announce their intentions to make a one-stop service for all Premier League games, with it being described by Caught Offside as the ‘Netflix of football’ ensuring a similar ring fenced deal when it comes to bagging Premier League rights.
Their intentions seem clear, and the likelihood of DAZN winning the rights will mean that consumers will be hit in the pocket again.
