Bayern Munich were dealt a blow just eight minutes into Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Mainz.
After being benched for Wednesday’s Champions League meeting with Manchester City, Alphonso Davies returned to the starting line-up at the MEWA Arena.

But the Canadian left-back’s afternoon was cut short when he pulled his hamstring during a burst down the wing.
He was immediately substituted and replaced by Noussair Mazraoui.
Davies is now likely facing four to six weeks on the sidelines and Bayern may not be able to call upon him again this season.
