“I’m very happy, it’s a dream come true, I’m returning home with my family and with my teammates.

“I’m looking forward to getting started, I’m very proud that Barça has made this effort, that they want me,” he gleefully exclaimed via SPORT.

Acknowledging his versatility and skillset, Olmo expressed his excitement about reuniting with several Barcelona teammates he has previously played alongside. He also mentioned his eagerness to play with Robert Lewandowski in particular.

“Versatility, quality, first touch, I’ve already played with many Barça players. There’s a lot of quality here, I’m looking forward to playing with players like Lewandowski and I’m ready to contribute,” Olmo remarked.

The 26-year-old star demonstrated his ambition when discussing the team’s goals for the upcoming season.

“The objective is to win, we are Barça and we have to compete for everything, we have a team, we have players, we have staff and we are going to go for everything,” he concluded.

Olmo will officially be presented next Monday. He is anticipated to be one of the key attractions for the Joan Gamper Trophy, where Barça will face Monaco.

Eager to address last season’s shortcomings, the Catalan giants will be thrilled to have the EURO 2024 top scorer in their squad as they aim to compete for trophies on all fronts.
