Confirmed: Barcelona star returns to international football | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowksi has late this week secured an official return to the international stage of football.

This comes amid confirmation of the goalscorer’s inclusion in the latest Poland squad.

Lewandowski of course shocked the masses earlier this summer, in revealing his decision to make himself unavailable for international duty moving forward.

As much came after the veteran frontman was stripped of the captain’s armband by then-manager Michal Probierz.

The Polish FA from here quickly made the call to dismiss Probierz from his place on the country’s bench.

After being named as the Eagles’ new boss, Jan Orban, in turn, quickly set about convincing Lewandowski to return.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, such efforts have officially borne fruit.

As showcased below, the 37-year-old has been included in the latest Polish national team squad.

Lewandowski will therefore be hopeful of adding to his international goalscoring tally across a pair of World Cup qualifiers against the Netherlands and Finland next month.
