The new AC Milan management fronted by Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada are aware that a right winger is needed this summer, with Samuel Chukwueze a concrete target.
As Calciomercato.com report, the expected departure of one between Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers means that the Rossoneri need to reinforce the right side and that is why Chukwueze’s name has emerged.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international amassed 11 goals and 5 assists in the league for Villarreal last season. He is lightning fast, possesses excellent dribbling and is still young at 24 years of age, which ticks a lot of the boxes for the scouting area .
Milan are ready to enter into negotiations with Villarreal and this week talks with the player’s entourage are expected to understand if there is the possibility of bringing him to Italy.
Chukwueze is also a potential opportunity given that his contract expires in June 2024, but it is clear that much will depend on the will of the Spanish club who have not yet set a price.
However, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham and Real Madrid are just some of the clubs ready to compete with the Rossoneri to sign the winger.
To try and beat such strong competition, Milan will try to move in advance which is why talks are expected to begin in the next few days.
