Club Brugge’s talks with Hamburger SV about former FC Groningen midfielder Ludovit Reis are going smoothly, according to sources in Belgium.
According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, updates from Bruges are expected in the coming days although HSV are looking to play the long game.
The German club, which will finally return to the highest level in the Bundesliga next season, don’t plan to let Ludovit Reis leave. The 25-year-old Dutch midfielder is a regular and remains a crowd favourite.
HSV would love to extend his contract, but Reis is reportedly not interested – he wants to go to Club Brugge. The talks are now mainly about possible bonuses and a resale percentage. Tavolieri expects the final transfer fee to be around six million euros.
Reis has played a total of 129 matches for HSV. In that time, he scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists. The Dutchman came through the ranks at FC Groningen and also has a past at FC Barcelona. Reis played 17 times for Jong Oranje.
