Chivas manager Luis Fernando Tena recognises that he has an interesting base of players that he hopes to keep in his starting eleven.
He and Ricardo Peláez have reportedly worked together to build a team around these players, therefore, he will retain his scheme 4-2-3-1 for the 2020 Clausura campaign.
With the previous roster that struggled heavily, Tena achieved a 5-3-3 record in all competitions, winning four of their last five Liga MX contests.
The new reinforcements that are expected to have the biggest impact on the side are wing-backs José Madueña and Cristian Calderón, who will be able to add a new attacking element from the back.
Víctor Guzmán should be the club’s most versatile player next season, as he is capable of playing four different positions very well.
Chivas will begin the new season on 11 January at home against FC Juárez.
