Chelsea gear up to face Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night, after being defeated in the FA Cup final. They are in the third position in the Premier League table and hope to remain there with two games remaining as the season comes to a close.

The Foxes come into the match on the back of an astonishing 5-1 victory over Watford, whereas the blues lost 5-6 over penalties to Liverpool, failing to bring home the silverware.

Timo Werner is doubtful to feature after being injured before the FA Cup final. Furthermore, Thiago Silva could be rested after coming off the match with a muscular cramp. Kai Havertz could return for the clash in the midweek after dealing with a hamstring injury.

Leicester City

Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was benched for Danny Ward in the win over Watford, but the Danish shot-stopper is expected to return to the XI for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Nampalys Mendy was taken off early in the previous match, so he may be doubtful to start, while Wilfred Ndidi, Ryan Bertrand and Ricardo Pereira remain sidelined alongside Hamza Choudhury, who has picked up a knock.
