Inter striker Romelu Lukaku and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu are set to return to the starting eleven for the Nerazzurri tomorrow afternoon, as Simone Inzaghi will make four or five changes from the team that drew with Benfica on Wednesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the likes of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Joaquin Correa, and Robin Gosens are also set to start.

Lukaku did not start against Benfica in the 3-3 draw which saw Inter reach the Champions League semifinals, continuing the trend of the Belgian being used as a second half substitute in the Champions League knockout stages.

However, the Corriere reports, the 29-year-old will be back in the lineup against Empoli.

Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi is set to completely rotate his attack, with Lukaku and Correa replacing Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez at the Stadio Carlo Castellani.

Meanwhile, in midfield Hakan Calhanoglu is set to make his first start since picking up a thigh injury during the international break.

The former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen, who came on as a substitute against both of Monza and Benfica, will take the place of Marcelo Brozovic at the base of a midfield trio alongside Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

In wide areas, the Corriere reports that Gosens will replace Federico Dimarco at left-wingback, whilst Denzel Dumfries will keep his starting place on the opposite flank.

In defense, meanwhile, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni are both set to keep their places in the back three.

However, on the right of the backline Danilo D’Ambrosio is expected to start, with Matteo Darmian set to be given a rare rest.

With Milan Skriniar set to miss the rest of the season following back surgery D’Ambrosio and Darmian will both have a big role to play on the right of Inter’s backline.
