Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is thrilled with the club’s glorious campaign while pledging to achieve more historical feats in the coming years.
The 67-year-old has been at the club’s helm since 2018 when he left Juventus to join their arch-rivals.
Many consider this switch a fundamental event that changed the balance of powers at the very top of the Italian football echelon.
This season, Inter achieved their second Serie A title under Marotta’s guidance. However, this one has been particularly special as it unlocked the club’s second golden star.
Therefore, he believes this achievement will remain firmly carved in the history books.
“In this twentieth scudetto and the second star, there is all the essence of Inter,” said the Nerazzurri CEO in a speech dedicated to the club via FcInterNews.
“This achievement will remain forever. Together we have made history and together we will continue to write more pages.”
The former Sampdoria and Juventus general director looks back on what has been a great ride for the newly-crowned Italian champions.
“It has been a magnificent ride. It was an extraordinary season that culminated with two golden stars on the chest.
“The Scudetto triumph was the twentieth for our colors. We dedicate it to the club and the fans, in Milan and the rest of the world.
Despite the ownership change, Oaktree will reportedly continue to entrust Marotta and company in managing the club on a day-to-day basis after taking over from Suning.
