Chelsea manager Lampard: I made right decision taking this job

Chelsea manager Frank Lampad believes he was right to take on the top job at the club.

Many were unsure whether Lampard had the experience or nous to manage such a huge club with high expectations.

He managed to get them Champions League football through the league last term.

And now they have begun the season in reasonably good form.

When asked by reporters if he was still pleased to be in the job, he responded: "I'm certainly very pleased.

"I'm proud to manage this club every day. I saw a club that I love.

"Never a doubt in my mind. I loved last season, the challenges it brought on every level and finishing in the top four.

"We now want to move on to further levels.

"I love that challenge every day. I made the right decision."
