Chelsea chiefs are quietly confident fans will be able attend their Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid home and away.
The Sun says due to sanctions against owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea were therefore expected to have to play both of their games against Spanish giants Real Madrid without being able to sell tickets.
But the west London club believe the licence they were given by the government to continue operating will be loosened going forward.
It comes despite initial concerns surrounding whether the tie will even be allowed to take place after the European Union followed the UK's footsteps by sanctioning Abramovich. But those fears were put to rest as UEFA included Chelsea in Friday's quarter-final draw.
Kicking the Blues out of the competition would have caused major chaos to the current broadcasting deals. Instead, the governing European body has reportedly indicated to the west London club that they will follow the UK government's current stand with regards to ticket sales.
