Burnley target Watford defender Dawson amid Tarkowski fears

Burnley are interested in signing Craig Dawson from Watford.

The Championship star was relegated last season, but may come back into the Premier League very soon.

Sky Sports claims that if Burnley lose James Tarkowski, who is wanted by Leicester City and West Ham United, Dawson is their preferred replacement.

Dawson played 29 games for the Hornets last term.

The Englishman is 30 and did not play in their opening Championship game under new boss Vladimir Ivic at the weekend.
