In a recent interview with Danish outlet Tipsbladet, Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker Jesper Lindstrom revealed that he is flattered by Arsenal’s interest in him. Lindstrom said,

“The transfer window is not open at all right now, so I’m just giving it my all and waiting to see what happens. It’s always great to play in the biggest league in the world, but whether Arsenal is right for me is hard to say.

“Right now, I’m in a good place in Frankfurt, but it’s great that there are clubs like them that are watching me. Something may have to happen at some point, but right now I’m fine.”

Lindstrom’s Inconsistent Form At Frankfurt This Season

Lindstrom has managed to put in some eye-catching displays during this campaign but is still quite inexperienced at the highest level. The 22-year-old has found the back of the net on three occasions in ten matches for the German club this season across multiple competitions.

However, the Denmark international has at times struggled to be consistent with his offensive contributions as he is averaging 1.2 shots, 0.2 key passes and 0.3 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. He has even been a bit untidy with his ball distribution after making 71.8% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via whoscored).

Should Arsenal Head Coach Mikel Arteta Move In For Lindstrom?

Lindstrom is proficient at generating space for himself to get a few strikes in on target. He has added a few goals to his game this season but is still quite raw and would need time before he can be a consistent performer in top-flight football. Lindstrom primarily operates in the number ten position but can also play as a left-winger if his manager asks him to do so.

Arsenal should definitely think about moving in for the Denmark international if Mikel Arteta is confident about getting the best out of him in the coming seasons.

At 22, Lindstrom has the ceiling to become a world-class attacking midfielder someday. Therefore, the North London giants would be wise to bring him to the Emirates Stadium either in January or at the end of this campaign.

The Danish talent’s current contract at Frankfurt is set to run out in the summer of 2026, so the Gunners have to make a big offer if they want to land him next year. We can expect Lindstrom to inject more firepower into Arteta’s frontline and offer some serious competition for Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe at the London club in the future.
