Ekitiké and Nacho back in the fold

Eintracht began their preparations for the visit of Leverkusen on a sunny May Day.

Temperatures of 27 degrees Celsius made for an ideal atmosphere as Dino Toppmöller’s side began their preparations for the home match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday (17:30 CEST). Hugo Ekitiké, who suffered a knock to his thigh against Bayern Munich, and Ignacio Ferri Julià, who has been struggling with ankle problems since last week, were both involved.

After a tough session on Wednesday morning, the Eagles squad can now look forward to three more sessions before the Leverkusen game – the first of five matches this month. Three of those are in the Bundesliga, followed by two ‘Eintracht in the Region’ friendlies.
