During América’s 1-0 victory against Necaxa over the weekend, Bruno Valdez had to be taken off the pitch just before half-time with an apparent injury.

Following the match, América announced that the player would undergo a series of tests in order to determine the severity of the blow.

Now, Récord have revealed that after going through the exams, it’s believed Valdez only suffered a sprain and will soon be back training with the first-team.

However, Valdez will not be ready to face FC Juárez on Saturday as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, which triggers an automatic one-game suspension.

After the Eagles pulled off the win on Saturday, they now find themselves in 14th place on 13 points, just one point outside the Repechage places.
