Brighton & Hove Albion are not looking to sell midfielder Carlos Baleba despite reports of interest from Manchester United.

Yesterday the social media account Indykaila surprisingly broke the story, which was and then reported after by more 'mainstream' outlets, that the Red Devils had been in contact to sign the Cameroon international.

Ruben Amorim is said to be keen on adding more physicality to his midfield with Brighton's Baleba the main target.

Getting a deal will be difficult though, with Simon Stone of BBC Sport stating that the Seagulls have absolutely no idea to sell the player. Indeed, Indykaila has suggested that the club may instead offer the 21-year-old a new contract.

Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in 2023 and the player has since featured 77 times for the club, scoring four times.
