Brahim Díaz has chosen his Real Madrid squad number and ‘already has his head’ in the Spanish capital, according to reports.
The 19-year-old is out of contract at Manchester City and could leave on a free in the summer.
However, according to Marca, Real have agreed to sign the Spaniard in the winter transfer window.
The same publication claims he has given his approval to the move and has already picked the number 21 shirt at the Bernabéu.
Díaz joined the Premier League champions from Málaga in 2015 but has struggled to break into the first team under Pep Guardiola.
The Spain U-21 international has made 14 first team appearances, scoring twice, but finds himself behind fellow teenager Phil Foden as well as the club’s senior players.
Real Madrid plan to immediately include the 19-year-old in their first team, rather than using him in ‘B team’ Real Madrid Castilla.
