Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola would love nothing more than to join forces with a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid for next season.
That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Rodrygo as the player in question.
The name of frontman Rodrygo has of course reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines across Spain and England alike over the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Man City are considering a late-window swoop for the Brazilian.
With Jack Grealish on the verge of a move to Everton, and Savinho also expected to depart The Etihad, the Sky Blues have earmarked Rodrygo as the ideal offensive addition.
And central to this interest, it would appear, is ex-Barcelona headmaster Pep Guardiola.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Pep Guardiola, big fan of the Brazilian and pushing for this option. Manchester City are seriously considering Rodrygo in case of Savinho exit as revealed… …and Pep would love to work with him.’
