Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri should be able to rely on the services of Reda Belahyane and Matias Vecino in the Serie A opener against Como.
The Uruguayan veteran complained of muscle fatigue in his left thigh last week, so he was left behind for the pre-season friendly against Burnley. But according to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the clinical tests ruled out any muscle injuries.

Therefore, the 33-year-old should be fit again for the first official match of the season, when the Biancocelesti travel to Como to take on Cesc Fabregas’ reinforced team. The same goes for Belahyane who suffered a sprained ankle last week, which ruled him out for 10 days. The young Moroccan should recover in time for the Stadio Sinigaglia contest on August 24.
On the other hand, Samuel Gigot remains in doubt. The Frenchman has been out of action since July 20 due to lower-back problems, and he’s currently working separately at Formello. In any case, the Roman newspaper notes that the former Marseille star isn’t considered an integral member of Sarri’s squad. In fact, he risks being excluded from the Serie A list.
Finally, Patric is aiming to return for the first home fixture of the season against Hellas Verona on August 31, while Gustav Isaksen is expected to miss at least a couple of fixtures as he works on regaining his condition. The Dane’s pre-season was wrecked by an infectious mononucleosis
