Roma host Hellas Verona on Sunday and suffered an early squad blow during the opening 15 minutes.

Already without Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini due to muscular problems, Jose Mourinho’s squad was hit with another key loss.

Tammy Abraham was forced off the pitch following an accidental boot to the face, injuring the Englishman’s eye.

The striker had a towel gripped to the point of contact, shook his head looked irritated when walking off the pitch.

Abraham previously had a bout of the flu before kick-off but was deemed fit enough to play on Sunday.

Looking ahead in the calendar, it’s unfortunate news for Roma with their Europa League play-off second leg clash against RB Salzburg on Thursday.
