Blindkilde Brown and Mace help England to 3-1 win over Sweden | OneFootball

Laura Blindkilde Brown and Ruby Mace both played 90 minutes as England Under-23s defeated their Sweden counterparts 3-1 to end their 2023/24 season on a positive note.

Played at Telford’s New Bucks Head Stadium in front of a crowd of 2,335, Emma Coates’s side went in 2-0 up at the break courtesy of goals from Chelsea’s Aggie Beever-Jones and Charlton’s Keira Skeels on 23 minutes and the second minute of first half stoppage time.

Sweden pulled one back on 78 minutes through Evelina Dulian but the Young Lionesses still had time to regain their two-goal advantage and it was set up by our January signing Blindkilde Brown.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined us from Aston Villa, playing in Brighton’s Katie Robinson who fired across the keeper to secure the Three Lions final goal of the game.

The result means England complete their European League campaign, a new format against other nations in the WU23s age category, unbeaten.
