‘Best in the world’ – Mesut Özil responds to Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid star Mesut Özil has taken to social media, to provide his response to the club’s latest triumph.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real are of course fresh off all but securing for themselves the La Liga title.

As much comes owing to victory over arch rivals Barcelona, in the latest edition of El Clásico.

Courtesy of goals on the part of all of Vinícius Jr, Lucas Vázquez and Jude Bellingham, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And, in the process, they opened up what looks likely to be an insurmountable 11-point advantage atop the Spanish top-flight table.

Post-match, it has in turn come as little surprise to see all associated with Real in celebratory mood.

And, as alluded to above, joining the festivities on Sunday night was a one-time member of the midfield ranks in Spain’s capital.

In a post on his official ‘X’ account, Mesut Özil revealed his delight with the latest Clásico outcome, courtesy of the following message:
