Karim Benzema has been named Mahou Cinco Estrellas Player of the Month for April. The forward was presented with the award at Real Madrid City in recognition of his fine displays over the course of the past month, in which he featured in all eight of our team's outings, netting 10 goals in the process (against Celta, Chelsea, Sevilla, Manchester City and Espanyol).
The madridista commented: "I feel really proud, it was a really important month for us and me in terms of goals, performances and victories. We're the league champions, but to prepare well for the Champions League final, we have to perform well, win and gain more confidence. We're playing at home and have to send our fans away happy, which is the most important thing for us. Out of respect for Betis, we have to go out and win the game."
