Belgium, Netherlands and Germany have officially launched their joint bid to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup.

This collaborative effort will be known as BNG2027 and aims to raise the bar for women’s football and deliver an unparalleled competition experience.

The core objective of the bid is to ‘break new ground by ensuring it delivers a competition on a level not seen before in the history of the women’s game’.

The bid proposal promises a logistical set-up that ensures an exceptional fan experience with high-quality accommodation and transportation links.

Matches will be concentrated within a compact vicinity, spanning the borders of Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany.

This approach minimises travel, aligning with ambitious sustainability goals.

Sustainability is at the heart of all operational and logistical planning, ensuring that the Women’s World Cup has a lasting, positive impact on the three nations.

The joint statement from the Presidents of the Royal Belgian Football Federation, Pascale Van Damme, the Royal Netherlands Football Association, Just Spee, and the German Football Association, Bernd Neuendorf, emphasised their enthusiasm for BNG2027.

“Following months of preparations, we look forward to presenting our bid to host the FIFA 2027 Women’s World Cup, which we are confident will deliver a tournament of unparalleled quality for both participating teams and fans from across the world seeking to taste the unique experience and thrill of elite international football.

“Women’s football finds itself at a historical moment in its development. Building on the growth witnessed in recent years.

“We are convinced that a successful BNG2027 bid can act as a powerful catalyst to ensure the women’s game can tap into the huge opportunities and potential that exist to fulfil its development at every level across every country, leading to enhanced levels of participation and deepening engagement and interest from fans and stakeholders.’’
