The final Oranje squad for the World Cup qualifiers has been announced. National coach Ronald Koeman has selected 23 players, including Sem Steijn and Robin Roefs.

The Dutch national team will play Poland and Lithuania next week. The World Cup qualifiers are scheduled for Thursday, September 4 (8:45 PM CET) and Sunday, September 7 (6:00 PM CET), and will take place in Rotterdam and Kaunas, respectively.

Feyenoord player Sem Steijn is in the squad for the first time, as is Robin Roefs, who transferred from NEC to Sunderland this summer. Memphis Depay is also in the squad. He’s been struggling with an injury and a viral infection recently, but returned to training at his club Corinthians this week.

Wout Weghorst is the other striker in the Dutch national team squad. Therefore, there is no place for AZ striker Mexx Meerdink, despite much speculation about a possible place in the Dutch national team.
