Amidst intensifying transfer speculation, Bayern Munich have revealed that they are open to transfer offers for south Korean defender, Kim Min-jae.
According to Sky Sports and Florian Plettenberg, Kim Min-jae is no longer ruling out a summer departure and Bayern welcome offers, but no final decision has been made.
It all depends on the right deal.
Kim has garnered interest from Juventus, with Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli (formerly of Napoli) a keen admirer.
Chelsea are also interested, but are first looking to secure Dean Huijsen, from Premier League rivals, Bournemouth.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also believes that there is more widespread interest in Kim, but the centre-back’s high wages are a point of concern.
Kim is in demand abroad and at home.
Whilst interest increases, Bayern are still reliant on Kim.
Bayern sit eight points clear at the top of Bundesliga, with four games remaining and Kim has missed just four games from the whole campaign.
The south Korean has contributed two league goals from 26 appearances, starting in five of the last six games.
Kim started both Champions League ties in the defeat to Inter and will be hoping to finish the season on a high.
Whilst it may be tempting for Kim to be looking at his options, Bayern cannot afford for his head to be turned.
The challenge for Vincent Kompany is ensuring Kim can stay focused.
That starts this weekend with with the visit of Mainz, where victory all but seals the Bundesliga title.
