There was no doubt that making the Champions League semi-final stage was going to put Ajax manager Erik ten Hag’s name in the rumor mill.
According to Bild, Bayern Munich have contacted Ajax to inquire over the 49-year-old’s availability for next season.
The Ajax boss managed the Bayern reserves from 2013 to 2015 between stints at Eredivisie clubs Go Ahead Eagles and Utrecht.
In an interview with SZ last month, ten Hag revealed that he had become a very big supporter of the German club.
“Since Pep, football in Germany is different, I looked at almost every training back then, and I took a lot of methodical lessons on how to transfer his philosophy to the pitch.”
It’s been rumored that anything less than the German double will see Niko Kovač ousted after just one season with the club.
