Manchester City will go level on points with Arsenal if they win at home to Aston Villa, the Gunners not playing until Sunday evening when they visit Brighton.

Chelsea have a three point lead at the top as they look to avenge an opening weekend defeat to Liverpool, whom they host again next Sunday in the FA Cup.

Reading’s match with second-placed Manchester United could see a record crowd for the Royals with 4,500 tickets sold, while the game will be Kelly Chambers 150th in charge.

It’s fifth versus sixth as Everton entertain West Ham, whom they lead on goal-difference from one game fewer.

Spurs take on basement side Leicester City who secured their first points last Sunday, and almost held Manchester City to a Conti Cup draw in midweek.

There is a massive top-of-the-table clash in the Barclays Women’s Championship, as Bristol City face London City Lionesses whom they trail by one point and have a game in hand over.

Three teams are five points off the top, with Charlton home to Lewes, Birmingham City hosting Sunderland and Southampton away to Durham in a noon kick-off.

Sheffield United play Blackburn with the Blades seven points above bottom side Coventry United, who have home advantage over Crystal Palace.
