With the final stretch of the summer transfer window upon us, there is expected to be some activity at FC Barcelona, mostly related to outgoings.
Out-of-favour players like Oriol Romeu and Inaki Pena are expected to finalise their exits, while some young talents such as Hector Fort and Dani Rodriguez are also set to depart.
Another player who continues to be linked with an exit late in the summer is midfielder Marc Casado.
As reported earlier today, two Premier League teams – West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers – are interested in signing the La Masia graduate before the window closes.
Now, according to journalist Jose Alvarez on El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona would be open to the idea of letting Marc Casado go if an offer of around €30 million arrives.
The 21-year-old La Masia product enjoyed his proper breakthrough into the first-team setup last season following Marc Bernal’s injury and became a key cog in Hansi Flick’s plans.

However, minutes dried up once Frenkie de Jong returned to form and fitness, and Casado now finds himself low in the pecking order, behind the Dutchman, Pedri, and Gavi.
The holding midfielder was an unused substitute against RCD Mallorca this past weekend. And with Bernal’s return close as well, his situation could get difficult.
As such, Premier League clubs seem to be testing the waters over a possible move for Casado, with Barcelona said to be open to his departure for a fee of around €30 million.
However, the midfielder himself has no desire to leave the club. Casado understands the fight he has on his hands to gain prominence in the team and is ready to face the challenge.
For now, the young academy graduate is not considering the possibility of leaving Barcelona. Whether that changes late in the transfer window remains to be seen.
