The last days of the summer transfer window will be decisive for FC Barcelona. Above all, the club’s priority remains the registration of pending players so they can be available for first-team action.
Even so, certain market opportunities continue to appear, and the latest concerns a high-profile defender from Serie A.

According to SPORT, Inter Milan defender Benjamin Pavard has been offered to FC Barcelona. His agent, Pini Zahavi, who also represents Robert Lewandowski and maintains close ties with president Joan Laporta, is understood to have raised the Frenchman’s name during recent talks.
Pavard, 29, has the green light to leave Inter this summer, with the Nerazzurri keen to reduce their wage bill. Despite interest from Saudi Arabia, he has reportedly turned down lucrative offers in order to remain in Europe and continue competing at the top level.
Hansi Flick knows Pavard well from their time together at Bayern Munich. The versatile defender can operate as both a centre-back and full-back, while also bringing vast international experience. However, Barcelona’s current situation makes his signing highly complicated.
However, despite his experience, quality, and the gap left by Inigo Martinez’s departure, it is unlikely that La Blaugrana will pursue Pavard’s signing at this moment. As mentioned earlier, the priority is registering players first, and completing Pavard’s transfer would be extremely complicated.
Alternatively, recent reports have suggested the possibility of Barça signing a younger defender, one that could potentially be registered with the reserve team as well. Either way, the club is primarily committed to player registrations, and the possibility of a new signing is not exactly a priority right now.
