The transfer market always brings surprises in the final days, and at Barcelona, nothing is being ruled out.
The club currently sees it as unfeasible to make a final signing due to the difficulties with registrations, but there could be developments in terms of departures.
The name of Marc Casado has been at the centre of much internal debate throughout the summer, and talks of a potential exit are starting to gain momentum once again in recent hours.
Indeed, according to SPORT, Barcelona’s sporting management is aware that Casado is attracting significant market interest, and would not dismiss the possibility of a lucrative sale.
However, at the same time, the Catalan giants will not push Casado to leave. But if the midfielder decides to listen to an offer because he feels short of opportunities and is willing to leave, the door would certainly be open.
Casado is likely to be starved of opportunities in the starting XI this season, with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong being untouchable in Hansi Flick’s plans. This has led to several clubs enquiring about the 21-year-old earlier in the summer.
Chelsea made a move, as did Tottenham, and Atletico Madrid kept a close eye on him. Although he initially closed the door on potential moves, new clubs are now ready, in desperation, to pay significant amounts to both Barcelona and the player.

As reported earlier today, Casado is attracting interest from West Ham United and Wolverhampton, but there are more clubs keen. Indeed, Bournemouth are also looking at the Spaniard and Tottenham remain attentive.
Real Betis made an enquiry a few days ago, although the deal looks very difficult because of the player’s valuation.
At present, Barcelona is aware of all this interest, as is Casado’s camp, and the situation is being monitored closely. The minimum figure set by the club is €30 million for his departure.
Barça will only listen to offers if the move is aligned with the player’s wishes; otherwise, Casado will remain at the club, fighting for minutes this season.
The midfielder has already realised that it will be very difficult to earn playing time. But he has worked hard to fulfil his dream of playing for Barcelona and, for now, he is not willing to give it up so easily.
Casado wants to continue fighting, but is not oblivious to all these movements and is beginning to realise that discussions are being held about his future.
Although some sources suggested he had begun to consider certain offers, the reality is that he wants to stay no matter what and does not wish to make a move. Things may change, however, come January, when the situation could look very different for everyone
