Fort focused on establishing himself in the first team

According to SPORT, Alaves are not the only club interested in signing Fort from Barcelona in the summer with some other teams also tracking him.

However, the 17-year-old full-back has no intention of leaving now that he has managed to make the leap to the first-team setup.

Fort started the last season with Barcelona’s Juvenil A setup before being bumped up to Barça Atletic. He then made the leap to the senior team, even going on to feature ten times under Xavi Hernandez.

The La Masia graduate is fully focused on progressing on that track, starting from July 10 when the Catalans begin pre-season under new manager Hansi Flick.

Fort wants to take the opportunity to convince the German tactician during the pre-season. The absence of Joao Cancelo – whose future is still to be resolved and the situation of Alejandro Balde leave a clear path for him to show his qualities.

Returning loanees, Julian Araujo and Alex Valle, would be the two players who would be competing with Fort for the spots in pre-season.

The 17-year-old remains fully focused on succeeding at Barcelona and is prepared to give his everything to win over the new manager.
