Spain have suffered an early blow in their gargantuan clash with Germany in the EURO 2024 quarter final.
Pedri was on the receiving end of a tough tackle from Toni Kroos just five minutes after the kick-off, and after some treatment from the physio, it was decided that he couldn't continue.
Spain were somewhat perplexed that referee Anthony Taylor didn't issue a yellow card to Kroos after the challenge.
Dani Olmo was brought on to replace Pedri, but this will have undoubtedly affected Luis de la Fuente's game plan.
It's since been reported that the Barcelona man has suffered a sprain of the knee ligament and will miss the rest of the tournament.
Tests will follow to rule out anything worse.
