Nico Williams has confirmed he will not be leaving Athletic Club this summer, despite heavy links with Barcelona.
Williams starred as Spain romped to victory at EURO 2024 this summer, scoring twice at the tournament, including the opening goal against England in the final.
The 22-year-oldās electric performances sparked a great deal of transfer talk, with Barcelona believed to be the club most interested in his signature.
But on Tuesday, Athletic posted a video to social media in which Williams confirmed he will be staying put for the time being.
Williams came through the youth system and has so far made 122 appearances for the club, registering 46 goal involvements and helping them win the Copa del Rey last season.
