An insight into the atmosphere behind the scenes at La Liga champions Barcelona, following the decision of Nico Williams not to join the club, has on Sunday been provided.

And the news will likely come as a source of comfort for those of a Blaugrana persuasion.

This comes amid confirmation that, despite the sudden and abrupt nature of wide-man Nico’s rejection, Deco and co. remain calm and collected.

Those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou remain fully confident in the level of the squad at Hansi Flick’s disposal at present.

Alternative reinforcements will nevertheless be sought out over the coming weeks, though, with the understanding being that several such targets are altogether more certain about lining out in Barcelona’s famed colours than Nico was.

Jose Alvarez Haya of El Chiringuito TV has aptly summed up the situation in Catalunya’s capital, in explaining:
