Barcelona star’s agents hold fresh talks with Chelsea | OneFootball

The entourage of Barcelona star Fermín López late this week held a fresh round of discussions with the board at Premier League giants Chelsea.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has provided an update on the ongoing saga.

It is of course common knowledge across all of Europe at this point that Chelsea have set their sights firmly on Fermín’s signing.

Ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline, the Blues have earmarked the 22-year-old as the ideal reinforcement for Enzo Maresca’s midfield.

To date, neither Barcelona nor Fermín himself have opened the door to a transfer.

But speculation nevertheless continues to persist that, in the face of the right offer, the player could potentially be lured away from his home country.

And Chelsea, it would appear, are very much aware of this stance.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, despite tying up a deal for Brighton & Hove talent Facundo Buonanotte, the Stamford Bridge brass on Friday contacted Fermín’s representatives once again.

This came to reiterate their eagerness to get a deal done over the coming days.

It now remains to be seen if as much has proven enough to convince the Barcelona talent himself…
