All the noise recently seems to be related to the future of Fermin Lopez. The Barcelona midfielder remains heavily linked to other clubs, especially to Chelsea right now. However, no official confirmation over his future has arrived just yet.

What has arrived, however, is an official written proposal from Chelsea. Exclusively reported by Fabrizio Romano, the journalist stated that the London-based club has sent in an offer worth €40 million for the 22-year-old player.

Barcelona not interested in Chelsea’s €40 million offer

However, the latest update from Victor Navarro is that Barça are not even slightly interested in entertaining any offers in that range for the Spanish midfielder. For that reason, Chelsea’s €40 million offer did not even make them flinch.

It would appear that Barça’s asking price to make them even consider letting go of Fermin Lopez is higher than Chelsea’s offer. Moreover, as of right now, the Catalan club has not put the player up for sale.

Furthermore, they would only consider such an offer if Lopez himself asked to leave the club. So far, the Spanish midfielder has not done that so Barça are not interested in selling him for that kind of offer.

While the summer transfer window is still open, time is definitely running out. Moreover, this information also aligns with the latest update from Romano himself, who claims that the final decision will depend a lot on Lopez’s stance as well.
