La Roja marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the London Stadium, for a friendly meeting with Colombia.

When all was said and done, it was the South Americans who emerged on the right side of the result, thanking Daniel Muñoz’s finish on the hour-mark for an eventual 1-0 triumph.

Despite their disappointing defeat, though, as alluded to above, it nevertheless marked a special night for one member of Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad.

With a little over five minutes to play in England’s capital, the aforementioned Pau Cubarsí was introduced from the bench, in place of Aymeric Laporte.

And, in the process, he established himself as the youngest-ever debutant for La Roja.

At just 17 years and two months old, the Barcelona sensation replaced previous record-holder Sergio Ramos, who took to the pitch for the first time in Spain’s colours at 18 years and 11 months old.
