Barcelona star picks up injury on international duty | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this evening been afforded some altogether concerning news on the personnel front.

This comes amid reports that a key member of the club’s defensive ranks has picked up a fitness problem.

The player in question? Jules Koundé.

Stopper Koundé, for his part, was back in action on Saturday, featuring from the off in France’s high-profile international friendly meeting with Germany.

With an hour on the clock, however, the 25-year-old was hooked from proceedings for Jonathan Clauss.

And, if the latest word stemming from the French media is anything to go by, as much appears to have come owing to an injury.

As per Saber Desfarges of Telefoot, Koundé has picked up an ankle problem.

It remains to be seen whether as much forces the stopper into any sort of extended spell on the sidelines, but all associated with Barcelona will no doubt be awaiting an update on Koundé’s wellbeing with bated breath, ahead of the club’s impending Champions League quarter-final double-header with Paris Saint-Germain.
